Klobenstein raften - Hotel Walchsee

Actively experience the Tyrolean mountain summer

Hiking and mountaineering in the Kaiser Mountains. There are around 200 signposted hiking trails awaiting hikers and mountaineers in our region – everything from leisurely walks to challenging tours and via ferratas.

When the mountain calls, I need to go!

Special hiking trails, for example, are the ""Schmugglerweg"" (smuggler's path) to the Klobenstein pilgrimage church in Kössen and the ""Stein"" (stone) that gives its name to the legendary village. Klobenstein has also long been known as a power place in the Alps.

Hikes in the nearby Kaiserbachtal nature reserve are very impressive, especially thanks to views of the Kaiser mountain range.

Saddle up your bikes – biking and e-biking in and around Kössen

Whether with a bike, mountain bike, road bike or e-bike: Tyrol has the right routes for anyone who's enthusiastic about getting around on two wheels. Our region has 180 km of signposted cycling paths.

Nature is not a place that you visit. It's our home.

Swim in one of Tyrol's warmest lakes, Walchsee

With a water temperature of up to 24 °, Walchsee is one of the warmest bathing lakes in Tyrol, and also has excellent water quality. Multiple waterfronts and the lakeside promenade invite a dive into the refreshing water of the 100 ha lake.

When I see a mountain lake, I don't need an ocean any more.

Walchsee is only a 5 minute drive from Hotel Riedl. You can also reach Walchsee from Hotel Riedl, either by foot or bike, via a path that is far away from the main road and leads past multiple farms.

The second largest golf region in Austria

With two 18-hole and one 9-hole golf courses in a radius of only 15 minutes by car, the region is the second largest golf region in Austria. The best part: the golf course that is closest to Hotel Riedl is the Kaiserwinkl Golfclub, which is only 1.5 kilometres away and can be reached in a couple of minutes by car.
