The Kaiserwinkl is located in the north-eastern part of Tyrol, at the border to Bavaria and at the foot of the majestic Kaiser Mountains. The region comprises the four villages of Kössen, Walchsee, Schwendt and Rettenschöss and is characterised by impressive mountain scenery, crystal-clear lakes, rolling alpine meadows and a wide variety of outdoor activities throughout the year.

Despite its many attractions, the Kaiserwinkl has retained its authentic charm and remains one of Tyrol's quieter holiday regions.
